Why afro am should be taught or available in school .

African american is history is a great thing to be learned or taught in school . It is no different from learning about all of the other ethnicities history or traditions. Everyone may not agree with learning about such things . I believe it should at least be available for every one to learn about . So basically the student will have the choice to learn about it or just going on with out it . Which i believe students should take the time to learn about some of the history of african american studies. So we could at least something about the past african american hero's . Especially the one's that made big differences in the world we live in today . I find it disturbing that some school's dont even teach african american history or just even offer it to the students to take . Also some high schools dont teach it to there students either . Im not saying to dedicate all the time to african american history but it wont hurt to cover some of the main or keys things that happened in the past or present . Thats the main reason why i took this course . I feel that i dont know enough about my history or cultures. There where alot of things that are kept from students in high school dealing with african american . At my cousins high school they learned nothing about Brown vs. The Board of education . Which is one of the most important court cases in african American history . So i find it important or a key factor that colleges make it available for students to learn about . Just like they due with all the other cultures . I think everyone should learn a little bit about all of are cultures . We have to live among each other everyday so we mite as well know a little bit about each other .
